Femosquitoes and “A Day Without a Woman”
By Laurie Higgins   |   03.09.17
I was hoping to ignore yesterday’s political protest called “A Day Without a Woman,” which coincided with International Women’s Day. I hoped to ignore it because the women involved are so annoying. But as when an annoying bloodsucking, disease-spreading mosquito lands on me, I feel an insuperable desire to slap them—I mean metaphorically, of course, with my virtual pen. I would never actually slap a femosquito.
Former “Transgenders” Talk About De-“Transitioning”
By Laurie Higgins   |   03.07.17
“Progressives” promote the lie that “gender identity” is immutable in order to rationalize and normalize an incoherent ideology and destructive medical “treatments.” Leftists desperately hope that the mainstream press, always in thrall to sexual radicalism, will avert its gaze from the growing “de-transitioning” movement. Thankfully, social media is here to occasionally shine light on alternative reality, that is to say, objective reality.
900 Absentees on New Trier’s Progressive Dogma Day
By Laurie Higgins   |   03.06.17
In an October 2015 article about attendance rates in Illinois School District 60, the Chicago Tribune reported that "average daily attendance is up from 92 percent in 2010 to around 94 percent in 2014, and it hovers about equal to the state average, according to state board of education data."
Beauty and the Beast: A “Gay” Tale for the Kiddies
By Laurie Higgins   |   03.02.17
One of the most tragic and unconscionable aspects of the revolutionary movement to normalize homosexuality and the “trans” cult is the grooming of children, whose hearts, souls, and minds the LGBTQQAP community and their "allies" seek to captivate and capture. In that unholy effort, the wizards and other unwitting servants of Wormwood at Disney have a new grooming gift for the world’s little ones: the soon-to-be-released Beauty and the Beast starring Emma Watson and Dan Stevens ...
New Trier High School Needs Accounting, Diversity, and Logic Lessons
By Laurie Higgins   |   02.27.17
Much virtual ink has been spilled, money wasted, and fallacious arguments spewed by supporters of the bias inarguably present in the sessions offered on New Trier’s All-School Seminar Day titled “Understanding Today’s Struggle for Racial Civil Rights,” which takes place tomorrow Feb. 28. A closer look at the money spent and diversity ideology promoted—often through fallacious logic—may lead parents to do two things: 1. Keep their children home on “progressive” dogma day. 2. Pursue changes in future seminars with the doggedness and passion (if not the fallacious reasoning) of “progressives.”
Milo Yiannopoulos is Destructive to Conservatism
By Laurie Higgins   |   02.21.17
The obscene, sodomy-celebrating, and nasty provocateur; rising GOP star; and Breitbart contributor Milo Yiannopoulos was recently invited to be the keynote speaker at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). Fortunately, his invitation was quickly rescinded when an interview with Joe Rogan from ten months ago came to light in which Yiannopoulos gleefully recounted performing a sex act on a Catholic priest when Yiannopoulos was 14-years-old--a sexual act that Yiannopoulos insisted did not constitute pedophilia.
New Trier High School’s Fight Against Diversity Becomes National Story
By Laurie Higgins   |   02.19.17
The controversy over a mandatory all-school, all-day Leftist seminar on “racial civil rights” at New Trier High School on Chicago’s North Shore continues to intensify. It has now become a national story with Peter Berkowitz, senior fellow with Stanford University’s Hoover Institution, publishing an editorial in the Wall Street Journal in which he accurately describes the event...
Hypocrisy of Leftists on Religious Tolerance
By Laurie Higgins   |   02.16.17
On Monday, I wrote about World Hijab Day during which non-Muslim teachers in public schools adopted the religious practice of hijab, wearing the head covering that some Muslim women wear voluntarily and some are coerced into wearing. Hijab is a controversial practice even among Muslims, many of whom see it as a symbol of a form of political Islam called Islamism that oppresses women.
Should Public School Teachers Participate in World Hijab Day
By Laurie Higgins   |   02.13.17
February 1, 2013 marked the first annual World Hijab Day, which was started by Nazma Khan, who emigrated from Bangladesh to the U.S. when she was 11-years-old.... On World Hijab Day, non-Muslim women and non-hijabi Muslims (i.e., Muslim women who don’t wear hijabs) are urged to wear a hijab for a day “in recognition of millions of Muslim women who choose to wear the hijab and live a life of modesty.”
Controversy Grows Over Imbalanced Seminar on Race
By Laurie Higgins   |   02.06.17
Surprise, surprise, liberal administrators and community members oppose and censor conservative viewpoints at a public school. A controversy has been percolating in the affluent communities served by New Trier High School on Chicago’s North Shore. It’s a controversy that has implications for public schools all over the country—and not just high schools—so I hope taxpayers in other communities pay attention.
Corrupt, Nonsensical Legislation Reintroduced
By Laurie Higgins   |   02.03.17
Equality Illinois, Illinois’ most prominent cheerleader for all things sexually deviant—especially doctrinaire and destructive legislation—is cheering the reintroduction of a bill that would make it even easier for gender-dysphoric persons to have their birth certificates legally falsified.
The Radical “Trans”-Formation of America
By Laurie Higgins   |   02.01.17
For decades the Left has embarked on a science- and morality-defying quest to advance a sexuality ideology that undermines human flourishing. There is no better illustration of that than the radical “trans”-formation of America with regard to “transgenderism.”
Let Madonna, Judd, and Cyrus Fund Planned Parenthood
By Laurie Higgins   |   01.26.17
Let's see, Planned Parenthood provides age-inappropriate, Leftist dogma packaged as sex "education" to children and kills incipient human life in the womb. Moreover, no Planned Parenthood performs mammograms, and very, very few offer prenatal care. And yet Planned Parenthood is an essential provider of women's healthcare?
Will This Be the Final Nail in Planned Parenthood’s Coffin?
By Laurie Higgins   |   01.25.17
The pro-life organization Live Action has just released a bombshell video that darn well better be the nail in the coffin of Planned Parenthood—a coffin brimming with baby corpses... Of the 97 Planned Parenthood facilities Live Action contacted, only 5 provided prenatal care. Live Action’s short video provides persuasive evidence that Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards is a liar.
Women’s March for Death and Deviance
By Laurie Higgins   |   01.23.17
A blaring, front-page headline in the Chicago Tribune about the women's march for death and deviant sexuality marred the Sunday morning of many Illinoisans—once again justifying the subterranean position the mainstream press occupies in the view of many Americans. The Trib reports that an estimated 500,000 mostly women “staged an enormous, raucous rally…to send a potent message of defiance to…President Trump.”
