Cherry Pie Day 2025

It’s time to remind our legislators that homeschooling continues to be alive and well in our state.

Join ICHE as we gather at the Capitol in Springfield for our 35th annual Cherry Pie Day!

We encourage support groups, co-ops, and individual homeschooling families to bring cherry pies to Springfield on Thursday, March 6 to communicate to our legislators that we are proud to have some of the best homeschooling laws in the nation, and we have every intention of keeping them.

Schedule

9:00 – 10:00 am – Pie drop off @ Capitol Bldg South Wing

10:00 – 11:30 am – Morning Session @ IL State Library

11:30am – 1:00pm – Lunch on your own

1:00 – 3:00 pm – Pie Distribution @ Capitol Bldg South Wing

3:00 – 5:00 pm – Fellowship @ Southern View Chapel
