Consequences of the Homosexual Political Agenda

A homosexual Marine kisses another man in front of children who were there to welcome home their mothers and fathers. That should offend and anger every decent person.

And still the church for the most part does nothing to help Christians understand the deeply flawed reasoning that propels this corrosive cultural movement, and does virtually nothing to exhort Christians to speak out in the public square.

As with the abolition movement, the rise of Nazism, and the civil rights movement, we are Johnny-come-latelies to this cultural battle and, therefore, we bear some measure of culpability (perhaps a lot) for the harm done to individuals, including children, and to society at large.

The tragic thing is that we have the freedom to speak, but we choose not to because we fear someone might say nasty things about us like they are saying about Kirk Cameron, and that’s a price too high for wimpy Americans to pay. Instead we read “Lettter from Birmingham Jail,” and watch the films Amazing Grace, Bonhoeffer, and Sophie Scholl, and delude ourselves into thinking that if confronted by a moral evil, we would act courageously and sacrificially.

Yeah, right.
