The Sheepskin’s Off – Gays Want to Redefine Natural Marriage — No “Civil Unions” Compromise!

On November 4th, the country was witness to three more states not willing to redefine marriage, in spite of multi-millions spent by the homosexual community. This brings the total to thirty out of thirty. Do the math. One hundred percent of states who brought the question to the people want Judeo-Christian marriage to remain as the standard.

Yet some Illinois elected officials still don’t get it. Many are beholden to the “gay” community for the money that’s been poured into their campaign war chests.

That’s why pressure needs to be applied.

HB 1826 is still pending in Springfield and could be voted on anytime. HB 1826 will create a new Illinois law by renaming homosexual marriage a “civil union”.

Once “civil unions” are established into law, if this is allowed to happen, homosexual activists have already unveiled their next step. Marriage!

Windy City Times November 19, 2008 letter-to-the-editor:

Many of us are still catching our breath after this year’s historic election. Yet it is not too early to begin thinking about the election in 2010, particularly in light of the heart-breaking repudiation of equal marriage rights in Florida, Arizona and California. Potential candidates for governor in Illinois have already begun to raise money and line up supporters.

We believe that the wisest course for the LGBT community at this point is to wait and see who the candidates are. At that point, we will be able to compare the candidates’ positions to determine who will champion LGBT issues. Most crucially, we should make clear that we expect our endorsed candidate to unequivocally support full marriage equality. No longer should we accept candidates who attempt to straddle the fence by opposing marriage equality while supporting civil unions.

A pop star can get married to a total stranger at an all-night chapel in Las Vegas, but two same-sex partners who have lived together in a loving and committed relationship for decades cannot. Illinois law currently states that same-sex marriage is against the public policy of the state. We need a governor who will not only lead the fight to repeal that law, but will also lead the fight to guarantee equal marriage rights for all Illinois citizens. There will be candidates for governor who will want and need the support of our community. Making a premature endorsement would compromise our ability to make candidates earn our support. Only by standing with us on one of the most significant civil-rights issues in a generation should a candidate be entitled to claim the support of the community.

The plan’s public. Homosexual activists won’t be satisfied with civil unions. They want marriage and they’re going to keep fighting until they get it. They are notoriously persistent.

Don’t let them confuse you. Side by side, civil unions and marriage are equal. Once “civil unions” become law, schools will be required to teach it. The proof of that is Massachusetts.

Lawmakers and activist judges may be confused, but the voters aren’t. Plainly put – people want marriage to stay just as it is – one man, one woman. Period.

Lawmakers, why aren’t you listening? These homosexual activists don’t want “civil unions” — so don’t give it to them!

TAKE ACTION: Speak up!! Call, email or fax to your State Representative today and ask him/her to vote ‘NO’ to the “Civil Unions” bill — HB 1826. Politely tell your lawmaker that Illinois’ government should not officially recognize immoral, unhealthy, and changeable homosexual behavior. (Be assured, your calls and emails are very important; legislators take very seriously the number of emails, faxes and calls they receive.)
