Once upon a time, I held a naïve hope that public education could be pried loose from the iron grip of self-righteous, presumptuous, intolerant, diversity-loathing, illiberal, idea-banning, bullying leftists fluent in Newspeak. That was then. This is now.

Now I know that is not possible—at least not in time to educate properly children who are currently in school or soon-to-be in school. There are good signs that a movement is afoot to challenge the MAN—who now is a homosexual, drag queen who uses the pronouns fae, faer, faers, and faerself.

A few communities are battling to replace their partisan/activist school boards. There is growing vocal opposition to the promotion of critical race theory-derived assumptions, gender theory, and obscene material. And a few state legislatures are banning cross-dressing boys from participation in girls’ sports.

While these are significant developments, even if successful, they are but a pea shot into an ossified, systemically biased, massive infrastructure composed of leftist controlled school administrations, school boards, state boards of education, state legislatures and ancillary leftist controlled organizations like teachers’ unions; the American Library Association; the Modern Language Association; the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, the Illinois “Safe” Schools Alliance, and all the organizations that profit from selling their racist “anti-racism” and pro-homosexual, pro-“trans”-cultic snake oil to public schools—all in the purported service of “safety” and “inclusion.”

Wheaton College, once one of the finest Christian colleges in the country, proves yet again that evangelicalism has been corrupted by anti-biblical worldviews.

Recently, during a question-and-answer time following chapel, Wheaton College president, Philip Ryken, was asked if Wheaton teaches critical race theory (CRT). Presumably, the student was not asking whether professors teach about CRT as a much-criticized theory. Presumably, the student was asking if any professors promote or affirm CRT as they teach it. It has been reported that Ryken seemed uncomfortable with the question, but ultimately admitted that yes, Wheaton College does teach CRT.

HB 4626 is both a harebrained and destructive bill that seeks to further the agenda of the “trans” cult by erasing language references to biological sex. It’s most particularly dangerous and insulting to women. If passed, this bill will change references to a pregnant “woman” to a “pregnant person.” Sane, rational women and men may be asking, “Why?” The answer is that our leftist leaders are pandering to the “trans” cult by erasing all public recognition of sex differences.

This legislation is yet one more incremental step toward that culturally destructive goal. Unfortunately, conservatives excel at ignoring incremental steps toward culturally destructive goals. Ignoring them is so much easier than opposing them.

Who’d a thunk there was any connection between Joe Biden’s uber-creepy new nuclear waste disposal expert Sam Brinton and Illinois State Representative Sam Yingling (D-Round Lake Beach) other than their first names? As it happens, there is. But first some background on the creepy Sam Brinton who was recently appointed “deputy assistant secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition in the Office of Nuclear Energy for the U.S. Department of Energy” by the transphiliac Biden administration that hasn’t yet met a sexual perversion it didn’t love.

Brinton is a 34-year-old “gender non-binary” person who demonstrates his non-binariness by combining men’s and women’s clothing—thereby reflecting the binariness of his non-binary identity.

Brinton first identified as “gay,” but now his immutable “sexual orientation” has changed, and he—er, I mean “they”—identify as bisexual.

Remember when homosexuals told us all they wanted was to be free to do what they wanted in the privacy of their bedrooms? Or perhaps you remember the later incarnation of that whopper, when they said they sought only tolerance. Or perhaps you remember their faux-indignant claims that their sexual peccadilloes affect no one, no way, no how. Or perhaps you remember when they scoffed at the idea that they were “coming for children.” All were a pack of lies from those practiced at the art of deception.

Further proof that they lied comes from sunny Florida where leftists are apoplectic about an important bill (HB 1557) designed to protect parental rights and to curb the use of taxpayer-funded elementary schools for the purposes of promoting leftist beliefs about “sexual orientation” and “gender identity.”

Illinoisans who are struggling to make ends meet as the Democrat-ruled state teeters on the knife edge of insolvency and whose children are suffering grievously from social isolation and missed milestones that can never be recovered have been waiting for the General Assembly to take action. Illinois families of diverse colors, especially those who lack the financial resources to weather a pandemic, a grossly inept response to a pandemic, government corruption, and decades of egregiously irresponsible economic policies have little choice but to wait for tyrannical, inept, irresponsible and corrupt leaders to help them.

As dispirited Illinoisans waited with labored breath for help, Illinois Senator Julie Morrison (D-Lake Forest) came to the rescue, introducing a bill on January 21, 2022 that if passed will amend a gazillion “Acts concerning children.”

Morrison along with chief co-sponsor Melinda Bush (D-Grayslake) who jumped aboard on Monday, and co-sponsors Laura Fine (D-Glenview) and Cristina Castro (D-Elgin) have introduced a bill that will expunge every occurrence of the pronouns “he,” “she,” “his,” and “her” from existing laws pertaining to children. These women (can’t be too sure these days) also seek to bowdlerize laws that mention “uncle, aunt, nephew, niece, great-uncle, great-aunt, step mother, step father, step sister, step brother.”

Many cultural critics argued that widespread approval of homoerotic acts and the legal revision of marriage to include non-marital relationships would inevitably lead to the erasure of other cultural taboos, specifically, taboos against plural relationships, consensual adult incest, and adult-minor sex, including pedophilia. Those critics who so warned were mocked by the scoffers who came scoffing and following their own evil desires. “What rubes, paranoiacs, and bad thinkers,” screeched the scoffers. “Those are fearmongering, fallacious slippery slope, stupid arguments,” pontificated those with evil desires and strategies to match. But, once again, conservative critics were right.

The pro-poly movement is growing. News about “consensual non-monogamy” is everywhere including on mainstream news outlets. The American Psychological Association even has a task force composed of perverts to normalize this form of sexual deviance. Throuples and other sexually and numerically diverse unions are emerging from the dark fringes into the klieg lights that now highlight perversion.

Still in the dark fringy margins are the other two groups who too have their own spanking new euphemistic names. Those who are in sexual relationships with close relatives have renamed incest “consanguinamory.” Following the logic of the “love is love” crowd, the blog “Full Marriage Equality” is dedicated to

“Advocating for the right of consenting adults to share and enjoy love, sex, residence, and marriage without limits on the gender, number, or relation of partners.”

For over half a century, theologically orthodox Christians in America have been woefully late and buckets of ducats short when it comes to cultural degradation. Most seem to have no ability to read portents, and they stubbornly refuse to heed the warning of those who do. And so, the suffering that inevitably results when societies deny truth increases.

The church in America is blessed both with cultural prophets whom God has blessed with the gift of understanding the implications of ideas and with the freedom to speak. Let’s hope and pray that the church heeds the warning of one of our finest cultural critics, journalist Rod Dreher, author of the book Live Not by Lies.

If you need evidence that Illinois lawmakers have plumbed the depth of idiocy and that public schools are no longer fit places for boys or girls look no further than Deerpath Middle School in the North Shore’s tony suburb of Lake Forest, Illinois where the boys’ bathrooms are now equipped with free feminine hygiene products. And folks, you paid for them.

What’s worse, leftist lawmakers concocted the bill that Governor J. B. Pritzker signed into law that requires every boys’ bathroom in every Illinois public school that serves grades 4 on up to provide free feminine hygiene products—at taxpayer expense. This insult to decency, science,  common sense, and stewardship of public money is an expensive sop to the “trans” cult before whom the left grovels.

Leftists seek to destroy every created thing that emerges from or depends on the real and foundational distinctions between males and females. Eradicating all distinctions between males and females entails socially constructing a false understanding of marriage. It entails distorting the public understanding of the purposes for and boundaries of sex and reproduction. It entails transforming the public understanding of the needs and rights of children. And it entails a wholesale assault on all sex-associated phenomena, including clothing, hairstyles, grammar, private space usage (e.g., bathrooms, locker rooms, dorm rooms, nursing home rooms, and prison cells), sports, and even human bodies.

What accounts for the zealous, quixotic mission to eradicate all distinctions between male and female—a mission that began in earnest in the 1960’s? Ultimately, this is a rebellion against God who created us male and female, who identifies himself as Father—not mother—and whose incarnate child was a son—not a daughter. The scope and enormity of this cultural and spiritual revolution could only be inspired by the father of lies, aided and abetted, of course, by fallen humans.

The Facebook Overlords have finally released me from yet another 30-day prison sentence for expressing views “progressives” don’t like. You know who I’m talking about. “Progressives” are those freedom-loving tyrants who proclaim from their high horses how deeply they honor all voices and value diversity; how tolerant, unbiased, and respectful they are; how open-minded they are; and how much they loathe oppression and “othering” as they oppress and “other” conservatives.

“Progressives” are the moral midgets who are destroying America while self-identifying as the world’s saviors. They are transaviors. They enslave and call it liberation. They hate and call it love. They kill and call it health. They propagandize and groom, and call it education. They exclude and call it inclusion. They divide and call it unity. They produce evil and call it good.

For those who for years have been battling critical race theory-infused and sexually deviant material in public schools with little help from their friends, recent developments offer a smidge of hope.

I began opposing both types of resources in about 2005 when I was a member of the highly partisan English Department at District 113’s Deerfield High School on Chicago’s North Shore. At that time, my opposition and warnings fell on deaf ears—well, except for the propagandists. Theirs were hostile ears—very hostile.

Teachers in District 113 were pushing CRT-tainted content in the classroom and in what is loosely called “professional” development. Teachers who claimed to “honor all voices” and “value diversity” were pushing arguable regressive assumptions about sexuality while censoring all dissenting voices in the classroom. They hoped that the voices of conservative parents had been effectively silenced. They were largely right. And now District 113 has wasted taxpayer money to put tampon machines in boys’ bathrooms. That’s what happens when we allow bullying and fear to paralyze us.

Racism and disordered sexuality eagerly promoted by leftist change-agents in government schools are destroying the hearts, minds, and bodies of children; the integrity and safety of families; and all institutions of public life that previously protected order and liberty.
