Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is a man for such a time as this. He has a titanium spine, a precisely tuned moral compass, and an intellect that makes him a worthy foe of leftist sophists and dissemblers in the legacy media. His tenacious willingness to challenge destructive ideas through word and deed terrifies and enrages leftists who fear he may one day be president of the United States. Their response to truth and courage is—as usual—lies and epithets.

The latest act of DeSantis to cause conniptions among the brittle leftist masses was his signing a bill into law to protect the parental rights of children, focusing primarily on ages 5-9. This is the summary of the “Parental Rights in Education” law that leftists have deceitfully renamed the “Don’t Say Gay” law:

Requires district school boards to adopt procedures that comport with certain provisions of law for notifying student’s parent of specified information; requires such procedures to reinforce fundamental right of parents to make decisions regarding upbringing & control of their children; prohibits school district from adopting procedures or student support forms that prohibit school district personnel from notifying parent about specified information or that encourage student to withhold from parent such information; prohibits school district personnel from discouraging or prohibiting parental notification & involvement in critical decisions affecting student’s mental, emotional, or physical well-being; [and] prohibits classroom discussion about sexual orientation or gender identity in certain grade levels [K-3].

This new law is intended to stop or prevent leftist activists/re-educators from interfering in the relationship between parents and their children.

In addition to prohibiting classroom discussions of “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” in kindergarten through third grade, the law also prohibits age or developmentally inappropriate discussions of those topics in older grades. This section of the law really enrages the worker bees who want to use their publicly subsidized jobs to gather the minds of other people’s children into the regressive hive mind. Leftists are buzzing cacophonously because in Florida they will no longer be free to colonize the minds of young children.

The Walt Disney Company released a statement condemning the law and declaring war on all Floridians whose elected representatives passed it, saying,

Our goal as a company is for this law to be repealed by the legislature or struck down in the courts, and we remain committed to supporting the national and state organizations working to achieve that. 

So, Disney—purveyor of “entertainment” for young children—wants to ensure the indoctrination of young children in government schools.

If huge corporations with bulging bank accounts can repeal duly enacted state laws, are we any longer a government of the people, by the people, and for the people?

Ryan Thoreson writing for the leftist Human Rights Watch bemoans the requirement that in grades 4-12, discussions of “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” must be “age appropriate.” He ironically complains,

[The law] does not specify what would be considered age-appropriate, or who decides.

This complaint is ironic in that leftists continually assert that every piece of deviant and obscene material to which they expose children is “age” and “developmentally appropriate.” And they rarely if ever specify what would be considered age-appropriate and who decides.

As I have urged for over a decade, parents should be asking those questions and demanding specificity in the answers. If schools say an external organization established the criteria used to determine age and developmental- appropriateness, parents should ask for the name of the organization. Parents should find out whether the organization has an ideological bias or if its members are evenly balanced between “progressive” and conservative views. And parents should demand to know what the specific criteria are.

If an in-district committee was formed to establish criteria for determining appropriateness of material, parents should ask who specifically formed it and how was it formed? What are the names of the members? Is the committee evenly balanced between “progressive” and conservative members? What are the specific criteria used to determine the appropriateness of material?

Thoreson, like countless other sexual deviance advocates, frets that school staff will no longer be free to keep secrets from parents:

It would significantly limit the ability of counselors and teachers to be a confidential resource for students, including LGBT students who may not feel safe or comfortable asking questions about sexual orientation or gender identity to family members. 

It is astonishing that any faculty members or administrators ever arrogated to themselves the right to keep secrets from parents.

Take a look at the contrast between “progressive” and conservative beliefs pertaining to sexuality. You decide which set of beliefs are taught and promoted in public schools and which are banned:

• Leftists believe there is no child too young to expose to ontological and moral beliefs about “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” and that public school teachers should do the exposing. Conservatives believe that children ages 5-9 are too young to expose to complex ideas about homosexuality and gender dysphoria and that parents—not teachers—should be addressing these issues or not with their own young children.

• Leftists think conservative views make people “unsafe,” by which they mean uncomfortable. Conservatives think leftist beliefs lead to suffering.

• Leftists believe that homosexuality is analogous to race, while never identifying any points of correspondence between homoerotic desire per se and race/skin color per se. In contrast, conservatives believe homosexuality is analogous to other phenomena constituted by disordered erotic desires and volitional acts, like close-kin “love,” polyamory, and zoophilia.

• Leftists believe that homoerotic acts are as morally acceptable as heterosexual acts. Conservatives believe homoerotic acts are intrinsically immoral.

• Leftists believe any numerical and sexual configuration of parental relationships are equally respectable and equally good for children. Conservatives believe that homosexual (and poly) family structures harm children and society.

• Leftists believe the desire to be the opposite sex is a good and properly ordered desire and that chemically and surgically altering one’s body to appear to be the opposite sex are ethically justifiable acts. Conservatives believe such desires are disordered and that such acts are exercises in futility that deny reality and jeopardize physical, emotional, and mental health.

• Leftists believe that if there is a mismatch between one’s thoughts/desires about one’s maleness or femaleness and one’s healthy properly functioning body, the error is in the body. Conservatives believe the error is in the mind.

Leftists are not angry that discussions of homoeroticism and gender dysphoria can no longer take place in K-3 classrooms in Florida. Leftists have long supported censorship of conservative views of “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” in the classroom.

Rather, devotees of diversity, equity, and inclusion are angry that their assumptions about “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” can no longer be promoted in early elementary school.

Leftists defend their de facto censorship of conservative views of homoerotic acts and cross-sex identification by claiming that such views are signs of conservative hatred of persons. But the belief that conservatives hate those who identify as “LGBTQ” is a leftist, socially constructed and imposed belief. Most people are fully capable of loving those who hold different beliefs and who live in accordance with those beliefs. Most people do that every day. It is leftists who hate those who hold different beliefs and make life choices consistent with those beliefs.

What conservatives hate is leftists using government schools to impose their beliefs on the children of conservatives. Governor DeSantis and Florida lawmakers hope to stop the scourge of leftists using schools and taxpayer funds to ideologically groom other people’s children.

As I wrote last Friday, Illinois’ worst lawmaker, State Representative Kelly Cassidy (D-Chicago), made scurrilous comments about her colleague Representative Tom Morrison (R-Palatine), refusing even the most basic collegial courtesy of referring to him by name, instead referring to him as “that man.” Cassidy falsely accused Morrison of engaging in hate speech, of “tormenting” minors who identify as the sex they aren’t, of not caring about the deaths of “trans”-identifying persons, and of causing the suicides of gender dysphoric “youth.” She provided no evidence to support her claims.

What had Morrison said to elicit such a vitriolic attack delivered with palpable rage by the morally untethered Cassidy? He made a brief statement delivered in the gracious and measured tone for which Morrison is known in which he said it is unjust for men to compete against women in sports, that it is unjust for adult men to room with girls on school overnight field trips, and that it is unjust for male prisoners to be housed with women. From those statements, the omniscient Cassidy discerned all of his interior feelings.

Morrison also said, “We can and should be kind to individuals who suffer from gender dysphoria,” but anything other than absolute approval for the “gender” beliefs of leftists is deemed hatred by Cassidy.

Cassidy also made a surprising and ironic statement in light of her legislative history. She self-righteously proclaimed,

We are watching around the country as right-wing politicians take aim at trans youth and their families picking on the least of these. … We will embrace our youth. We will protect our youth … because we actually love and care for people as God made them.

You see, in 2019 Cassidy was the chief sponsor of a bill that legalized the slaughter of the unborn for any or no reason throughout the entire nine months of gestation. She doesn’t really care about the least of these. She doesn’t embrace all human beings. She doesn’t seek to protect all “youth.” She doesn’t actually love and care for people as “God made them.”

Morrison in contrast does.

While Cassidy falsely accuses Morrison of not caring about the deaths of “trans”-identifying persons, she actively supports killing humans in the womb. In her unhinged attack on Morrison, Cassidy referred to an “epidemic of murders” committed against cross-sex impersonators. Not surprisingly, Cassidy didn’t flesh out any details about those murders.

Fortunately, Federalist writer Chad Felix Greene, who is homosexual, did flesh out the details in an article titled “I Crunched the Data. The Violence ‘Epidemic’ Against Trans People Is a Myth.” There is no proof that any of the murders of “trans” people were caused by the beliefs of theologically orthodox Christians like Tom Morrison.

According to the Human Rights Campaign, there were about 50 “trans”-identifying persons killed in all of 2021. In contrast, there were about 2,762 humans killed in the womb after 21 weeks of gestation just since Jan. 2022. Doctors who perform fetal surgery on babies at this age administer both analgesics and anesthesia to prevent pain. Abortionists do not.

According to Christianity Today, of the 127,380 “women who receive a prenatal diagnosis of Down syndrome through amniocentesis … generally seek an abortion 90 percent of the time.” That means about 114,642 humans are killed in the womb because Cassidy and her collaborators pick on the least of these. Cassidy and her collaborators don’t embrace them or protect them. Cassidy and her collaborators don’t “actually love and care for people as God made them.”

Just as Cassidy arrogates to herself the right to decide which comments can be made on the floor of the Illinois House, she also arrogates to herself which innocent humans can be legally killed. Just as Cassidy arrogates to herself the right to decide who is a woman, she arrogates to herself the right to decide who is a human. And her definitions defy hard science.

After reading IFI’s article about her, Cassidy posted this:

The latest screed from the Illinois Family Institute is a ranting piece yelling at me for taking one of my colleagues to task for his continued demeaning and dangerous language about our Trans neighbors. I always know I’m on the right side of things when the IFI is boiling mad. Cassidy, purported supporter of women, heartily endorses the slaughter of pre-born girls up to birth, the so-called “right” of male athletes to steal awards from women, the “right” of men to use women’s private spaces, the “right” of male prisoners to be housed with women, and the “right” of leftists to indoctrinate other people’s children with leftist their social, moral, and political beliefs on “gender,” sex, and “sexual orientation.” Righteous anger over Cassidy’s lies about those who disagree with her means to Cassidy that she’s on the “right side of things.”

In February, a state-operated Wisconsin school district held an Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion professional development session that included in its slide presentation a stunning warning to teachers: Parents don’t have a right to know how the children they brought into the world identify sexually.

Parents have the responsibility to feed, clothe and nurture the children born into their family, but when those children are enrolled in government schools, parental roles change dramatically – at least that’s what teachers are being taught.

Verbatim, the Wisconsin district’s slide said: “Remember, parents are not entitled to know their kids’ identities. That knowledge must be earned. Teachers are often straddling this complex situation.”  In their school district, it said, “Our priority is supporting the student.”

Such parent-exclusionary attitudes demanded of instructors like the one uncovered in Wisconsin is sadly becoming more and more common. So common, in fact, the state of Florida reacted strongly by putting into effect a law restricting gender and sexual orientation instruction for the youngest public school students through third grade.

And while the majority media promotes the anti-parent concept, a recent Rasmussen Reports survey found that 62% of likely U.S. Voters would support a law like Florida’s Parental Rights in Education bill in their own state, including 45% who Strongly Support the measure.

Illinois’ policy on gender identity instruction

The chances of a bill like the one in Florida making its way into law with Illinois’ current administration are null and void.

In September 2021, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker signed into law SB 818, which promotes “gender identity” to kindergartners, as well as “abortion,” “contraception,” “masturbation,” and “sexual orientation” to children in third through twelfth grades.

The bill’s House sponsor, State Rep. Camille Lily (D-Chicago) said she’d been working for years to reject Illinois’ abstinence-only sex education.

“Seven years ago when we fought to move sexual health education in Illinois beyond abstinence-only education, we knew there was more work to be done,” she said. “Today marks another step in our efforts to ensure that young people receive a full toolbox of knowledge and skills to reduce harm and support overall health for their entire lives.”

Illinois parents have the ability to “opt out” their children from the sex ed curriculum. School districts that do not choose to offer comprehensive sex education are not required to adopt the National Sex Education Standards developed by the Future of Sex Education (FoSE) Initiative, a partnership between Advocates for Youth, Answer, and SIECUS: Sex Ed for Social Change.

However, the vast majority of school districts will embrace the new policy because state funding always funnels toward those school districts that snap into state law-approved and -promoted agenda.

What one Illinois district says on their website about “Equity & Diversity”

And while no instructional slide similar to the one used in the Wisconsin session has been uncovered from an Illinois district, one of the state’s largest school districts, U-46 based in Elgin, has on its website a published policy on “Equity & Diversity” with detailed instructions on how they intend to keep transgender students’ information private:

Transgender students have the right to openly discuss and express their gender identity and expression at school and school activities and to decide when, with whom, and how to share private information. School staff, however, shall not disclose information that may reveal a student’s transgender status to unauthorized parties. Therefore, given the sensitive nature of the information, when speaking with other staff members, parents, guardians, or third parties, school staff should not disclose a student’s preferred name, pronoun, or other confidential information pertaining to the student’s transgender or gender nonconforming status without the written permission of a transgender student who is eighteen years old or older or the written permission of the parent/legal guardian of a minor transgender student. 

U-46’s published policy is confusing. While there’s a caution about disclosing gender identity information to other staff members, parents, guardians or other third parties, a parent or guardian of a student under the age of 18 must grant written permission to share that information.

The conflicted scenario this policy sets up is one of distrust and confusion between teachers, parents and students – very similar to the one about which the Wisconsin slide warns.

And one of which U-46 parents should be aware.

 What Illinois parents can do to protect their children

 First and utmost, keep an open communication with your children about these topics. What are the teachers saying? What are their peers saying about sexual issues? Are they comfortable or uncomfortable with what they are seeing and hearing?

Be their advocates. Legal help is available.

Illinois Family Institute’s attorney, Jim Davids, has filed suit against a school board in Maryland challenging its policy, which is similar to Illinois’, and will soon file suit against another school board in Minnesota.

Davids is looking for courageous parents to challenge similar school board policies here in Illinois.

Then watch this video of Illinois’ worst lawmaker, the sanctimonious, arrogant, and venomous lesbian Kelly Cassidy (D-Chicago), who, in response to Morrison, hurled indefensible lies at him, refusing even to use his name.

I urge you to watch these videos because how each Illinois House member spoke is almost as important as what they said. But for your convenience, the transcripts of both statements are set forth below, beginning with Morrison’s. Please read it carefully, so you are able to discern whether Cassidy’s response was justifiable:

For these past several weeks, we’ve been hearing facts about women’s history month, and I’m sure that we’ll hear more facts today and this week. When we hear those words, we think about our own mothers, wives, daughters, other notable women throughout history. We objectively know what a woman is, but it’s become increasingly common now to pretend that we don’t know. This is becoming George Orwell’s 1984. It’s Newspeak. It’s gaslighting. It’s activists pounding the table to declare that two plus two equals five. And that does not make it so. Demands that society accept lies as facts in the name of tolerance, inclusion, and justice is anything but. It’s not right, compassionate, or just.

This past weekend, the NCAA allowed a man to become a national champion in women’s swimming. This action was months and years in the making, and it denied that rightful place of honor to actual female athletes, several of whom were denied being named All Americans because their place was taken by University of Pennsylvania swimmer Lia Thomas. Anyone who thinks that fairness in sports competition is the only issue here is missing the point.

Months ago, teammates of Lia Thomas complained to school officials that Thomas had exposed male nudity repeatedly in their locker room. This should have been a clearcut case of indecency and harassment, but university officials ignored the women’s concerns and discomfort. “Listen to women.” In this case, hardly.

Parents in Los Alamitos, California last month sent their fifth-grade girls on a three-day overnight school science field trip. After the weekend concluded, the girls told their parents that three male counselors who identify as non-binary shared those cabin quarters with the girls for each of the nights. Schools in Illinois already have similar policies. And most parents don’t even know, nor will they be told by school officials, less they be accused of discrimination.

In several states, including California, Washington State, and even here in Illinois, hundreds of male inmates, many of whom are serving time for sexual crimes or other crimes of violence are self-declaring as female or non-binary. And they’re getting a transfer to a women’s-only facility. There’s no requirement for surgery, no requirement for hormone therapy. Even if that did make the policy less bad, any sane person realizes how outrageous this is, but the practice continues and is expanding as more individuals realize what they can get away with.

According to a press report, President Joe Biden is now reportedly planning or considering I should say an executive order modeled after the California law, which would allow federal inmates to self-identify their gender and choose between a male or female prison.

Ideas have consequences. It is a minority of vocal activists who continue to push this ideology on all levels of society, including to young school children. It’s an ideology that is at war with reality, and we must stop blindly going along.

We can and should be kind to individuals who suffer from gender dysphoria, but we can do so without completely and irrationally upending society, which is already happening at lightning speed. If we really believe in the protection of women and women’s rights, we must acknowledge the harms being done and bring a stop to this, including the silence and passive acceptance about what’s really going on.

I imagine that here in this body, and perhaps beyond this chamber, there will be some who will try to condemn me and my words, but I’d like to close with these words by columnist Selwyn Duke: “The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those that speak it.”

Last week, my constituent Elise Malary was pulled out of Lake Michigan. Elise was a shining example of what we want people to do and be in our community. She was part of our community on the North Side. She was dedicated to uplifting the people that she lived and worked with every day. She is one of too many black trans women whose lives mean nothing to the man on the other side of this room. She is one of many transgendered youth who are at increased risk of suicide because of the actions of people like the man that just spoke.

We are watching around the country as right-wing politicians take aim at trans youth and their families picking on the least of these. I’ve watched for years as my colleague has tormented trans youth in his community. And the brave young woman who stood up to that behavior is now my constituent as well. And to every trans youth out there listening,  to every parent who loves and affirms their children as God gave them to them, that’s not happening here in Illinois.

We will not follow in the footsteps of states that are tormenting these families and driving them away. We will embrace our youth. We will protect our youth and we will work together to solve the epidemic of murders and suicides among trans women in our community because we actually love and care for people as God made them. I don’t want to hear any more hate speech on this floor, not from anyone. And if we can only do one thing to honor Elise Malary’s memory, it’s to do that. Hate speech does not belong on this floor, not now, not ever.

For those who don’t know, “Elise” Malary, was a 31-year-old man who identified as a woman. He was not—as Cassidy implied—a “youth.” His age doesn’t make his death less tragic. Rather, his age reveals how misleading and manipulative Cassidy is.

To summarize, Morrison believes it is unjust for women to lose sports awards and records to biological men. He believes it is unjust for adult men to room with young girls. And he believes it is unjust for female prisoners to be housed with male criminals.

So too do feminists from the other side of the political aisle, including the Women’s Liberation Front, Naomi Wolf, Kara Dansky, the Women’s Declaration International, and J.K. Rowling. In Cassidy’s view, are all these left-leaning feminists—including many lesbians—guilty of hate speech for expressing their belief that sex-based rights exist and that denial of them is unjust? Does defending the sex-based rights of girls and women constitute the tormenting of gender-dysphoric boys in Cassidy’s distorted view?

I have seen and heard a lot of repugnant things spewed by the unscrupulous demagogue Cassidy, but nothing as repugnant as her exploitation of a tragic death to smear of one of Illinois’ finest public servants. In her vitriolic diatribe, she trembled with unrighteous rage as she falsely accuses Morrison of not caring about the death of a “black trans youth.” What is her evidence for this allegation?

What evidence did Cassidy provide for her malignant claim that Morrison doesn’t care about the deaths of “trans”-identifying youth or that his words about the reality and meaning of objective, immutable biological sex causes the suicide of “trans”-identifying youth?

What is Cassidy’s evidence that Morrison hates and “torments” trans people? What is her evidence that Morrison (or the millions of men and women who share his beliefs on gender dysphoria) hates those who identify as “trans”? Does Cassidy hate everyone who believes differently than she does on gender, sex, and “sexual orientation”? If so, then she must hate a huge swath of people, including many Catholics, Protestants, Eastern Orthodox, Orthodox Jews, and Muslims.

What is her evidence that God “made” gender dysphoria? Did God make Minor Attraction? Zoophilia? Genetic Sexual Attraction? Did God make body dysmorphia? Did God make schizophrenia? Did God make cleft palate or spinal bifida? Or does God make humans in a world corrupted by the fall that results in disordered bodies, minds, and hearts?

In Cassidy’s view, does “loving and caring for others just the way God made them” include loving and caring for Christians just the way God made them? Does such love demand she affirm all their desires, beliefs, and actions? Does caring for and loving pedophiles or hebephiles require affirming their feelings and identities?

Is Cassidy aware that many in the medical and mental health communities believe that gender dysphoria and “trans”-identification may be symptoms—like depression and anxiety—of underlying causes, including autism, trauma, abuse, and psychosocial experiences?

Is she aware that hospitals in Sweden and the UK have stopped providing hormonal “treatment” to minors? Are they hateful? Should they be prohibited from speaking? While children and teens with gender dysphoria need compassion and treatment, the disputed question is what kind of treatment is best. Disagreeing with Cassidy on the best path forward does not constitute hatred of gender-dysphoric youth.

Cassidy concludes with an astonishing display of arrogance. Cassidy arrogates to herself the right to define “hate speech” and then arrogates to herself the right to ban it from the House floor? Unbelievable hubris.

Word to Cassidy, Christians think her assumptions about gender, sex, and “sexual orientation” are false and destructive. Many Christians feel uncomfortable and even marginalized by what they view as her hate speech and her attempts to silence dissent. They find her words as intolerant and bigoted as she finds the words of Rep. Morrison.

Why did no Republicans respond to Cassidy’s intemperate, uncivil, indefensible statement? Are there no Republicans with the integrity and courage to speak publicly as Morrison did on this issue of profound importance? Are there no Republicans willing to call for Cassidy to be censured?

Republicans who said nothing following Cassidy’s calumny should be ashamed.

In the past three days, Twitter has suspended the accounts of the well-known satirical website Babylon Bee and of Division I swimmer Reka Gyorgy. What Gyorgy and Babylon Bee share in common is a willingness to criticize the alchemical superstitions of the “trans” cult.

Babylon Bee mocked USA Today for giving the Woman of the Year award to assistant secretary of health at the Department of Health and Human Services, Dr. Richard Leland Levine, alias “Rachel” Levine, who is a man. In response to USA Today’s insulting award, Babylon Bee tweeted that it had awarded Levine its Man of the Year award. Twitter suspended Babylon Bee’s account for alleged “hateful conduct,” a suspension that will be lifted only when Babylon Bee deletes the tweet.

And the left claims they hate censorship.

Former Olympic swimmer and current Virginia Tech swimmer, Reka Gyorgy sent a letter to the NCAA and tweeted about the injustice of having to compete against a biological male—also known as a man—which cost Gyorgy a chance to swim the 500 freestyle in the NCAA finals. Gyorgy tweeted,

My finals spot was stolen by Lia Thomas, who is a biological male. Until we all refuse to compete nothing will change. Thanks for all the support retweets and follows. I won’t stop fighting.

Christian obligations

Christians should stand publicly with those who are leading the way on this transgressive nonsense, like Reka Gyorgy, Babylon Bee, and this father and mother of a female NCAA swimmer:

Princeton University law professor Robert P. George recently urged those who reject the assumptions on which the “trans” ideology is built to live with integrity:

When you’re pressed to state or list your pronouns, you’re being asked to sign up for a practice with certain ideological presuppositions. It is not, and cannot be, a simple matter of politesse. If you believe in the ideology, and don’t mind being pressed to express your loyalty to its tenets, then, by all means, be my guest. But if you don’t believe it, or if you believe it but object as a matter of principle to being pressured to make public affirmations of beliefs, then stand by your principles and don’t sign onto the practice. The key things, either way, are to recognize what’s going on and have the integrity—and courage—to stick to your principles.

If theologically orthodox Christians believe their beliefs are true, then they should act like it.

Christian failures

The courage of these parents raises the question, why aren’t all Christian parents of high school and collegiate athletes saying publicly what these parents said?

There are two reasons that account for the refusal of so many Christians to speak truth. First, many Christians refuse to stand for truth in the public square unless they are guaranteed that doing so will be cost-free. But that is not what Christ promises those who follow him. He promises that the Christian walk will be costly. He promises that Christians will be mocked and hated just as he was.

While Christians claim to admire men and women who have stood steadfastly and suffered grievously for the faith even to the point of martyrdom, many Christians teach their children by word and deed to flee from even the mildest form of persecution. Say and do nothing that will tarnish a reputation, cost a job promotion, or lose a friend.

According to the leftist, “whose truth?” crowd, there is no objective truth—oh, except every moral belief they hold. THOSE beliefs—the source of which is their reservoir of deep feelings—are absolute, objective, transcendent, eternal moral truths, disagreement with which leftists believe should cost you your reputation, your ability to earn a living, and friendships.

In a sermon series on Romans and preached over fifty years ago, Pastor Martyn Lloyd-Jones identified the second reason for Christian silence in the face of evil, a problem that has only grown since he preached about it:

Christian people are mistaking natural qualities, niceness, a cultural veneer or politeness, for true Christian grace. … How often today is affability mistaken for saintliness! “What a gracious man he is,” they say. What they really mean is this: he never criticizes, and he agrees with everybody and everything. I know of nothing more dangerous than that. … Affability is not saintliness. … We are now judging only by our own subjective feelings, by our impressions and reactions. Is there anything so dangerous?

Real love, as opposed to some saccharine, ever-affirming substitute—requires first knowing what is true.

The danger of judging only by our own subjective feelings is nowhere more obvious than in the “trans” cult. “Trans”-activists in thrall to the delusional and dangerous idea that authentic identity is constituted solely by each person’s subjective feelings are destroying lives and necessary institutions and conventions.

Will Thomas, alias “Lia,” has likely been convinced by the “trans” cult that what he’s doing is brave and important. He’s likely been convinced that he will go down in history as a much beloved hero—the Rosa Parks of the “trans rights” movement. Someone should tell Thomas that “trans” cultists don’t care about him. They don’t care about anyone or anything other than their narcissistic, solipsistic, perverse desires.

They don’t care that Thomas will lose most of his swimming buddies because men know that he is stealing places and records from women.

“Trans”-cultists don’t care about the sad life Thomas will lead going forward.

They don’t care about the young women who will not want to date a cross-dressing man.

They don’t care about all the young women who after spending a decade swimming four hours a day all year long, had this year of collegiate swimming ruined.

They don’t care about the feelings of all the women whose locker rooms were invaded by a man who openly undressed in front of them this swim season.

And “trans”-cultists certainly don’t care about Will Thomas’ eternal life.

While “authenticity” for Thomas and Levine centers on their disordered subjective desires and their rejection of material reality, for other people authenticity centers on acceptance of biological reality and biblical truth—including the importance of not bearing false witness. For those people, denying God’s creation of males and females and bearing false witness by using false pronouns are acts of rebellion against God. For those people, such dishonorable acts are profoundly harmful and unloving acts.

Those who claim to revere diversity, equity, inclusivity, tolerance, freedom, and authenticity should be first in line to defend the right of conservative Christians to live authentically Christian lives.

The “trans”-gender house is built on a sandy foundation of faulty assumptions, delusions, biased pseudoscience, and bald-faced lies, all of which are propped up by buckets of ducats from the likes of the Pritzker family, the Stryker family, Tim Gill, and “Martine” Rothblatt and by the suppression of speech. It’s an ugly evil project that is destroying bodies, minds, souls, families, churches, schools, the practice of medicine, institutions related to lawmaking, speech rights, and religious liberty. Who could possibly be behind a project of such scope and enormity?

PragerU, Christopher Rufo, and Blaze TV publicly congratulated Dave Rubin and the man to whom he is legally married on the impending births of two babies via two surrogates. With friends like that, conservatives don’t need enemies.

They’re not alone. Matt Whitlock, senior advisor for communications and digital at the National Republican Senatorial Committee and volunteer faculty member at the Leadership Institute, which “teaches conservatives of all ages how to succeed in politics, government, and the media,” also congratulated Rubin.

And both Meghan McCain and Megyn Kelly enthusiastically congratulated Rubin and his faux-husband. That’s not surprising in that both women are long-time enthusiastic activists for the cause of normalizing homosexuality. While no one will be surprised by their “LGBTQ” “progressivism,” we should be troubled because McCain identifies as a Republican and “lifelong conservative,” and Kelly identifies as a Catholic. Conservatives ought not be indifferent to the presence of “LGBTQ” collaborators within the GOP or the church. They are corrupting both the Republican Party and the church from within.

How many leaders in the GOP, Republican members of Congress, or members of the pundit class who identify as conservative are willing to say that no one is entitled to a baby?

How many will say babies are not commodities? How many will say genetic material ought not be bought and sold?

How many will say babies deserve and have a right to both a mother and a father, preferably the man and woman who produced them?

Who will say publicly that it’s wrong for women to rent out their bodies, and it’s wrong for anyone to pay women for the use of their bodies for the illicit project of gestating a baby?

Who in the GOP will say that if two men (or women) reject true marriage in favor of a naturally—that is, by design—non-reproductive relationship, they should live with the consequences? Sodomy is not equivalent to sexually complementary intercourse. And by design, sodomitic mimicry of intercourse is non-reproductive. All efforts to mimic intercourse and to obtain the fruit of such unions–including shopping for eggs as Rubin shared he did–by homosexuals are morally repugnant and selfish.

While the desire to procreate is natural and good, it is unnatural and evil to reject the procreative act as ordained by God for marriage and then demand its fruits.

In describing his exit from the Democrat Party, Dave Rubin has in the past cited the intolerance of the left as his reason. With some true conservative Twitter commenters criticizing Rubin’s selfish pursuit of his own desires at the expense of the needs of the children he is acquiring, some leftists are suggesting that such criticism reveals the intolerance of conservatives. Evidently, they don’t understand the meaning of “tolerance” or the claims of conservatives.

First, tolerance refers to enduring or putting up with something one finds objectionable. Tolerance does not mean affirmation, approval, or celebration.

Second, membership in the GOP or in the kingdom of God necessarily entails holding principled convictions. Both groups hold principled views on what constitutes the good. They hold views on which acts should be prescribed or proscribed, tolerated or not tolerated, celebrated or denounced. While Christians and conservatives must forbear the expression of the view that homosexuals make “good parents,” we are entitled to say—and should say—that children need, want, and deserve a mother and father.

While all children are blessings to those who raise them, not all family structures are blessings to children. Being a kind, loving person is necessary but not alone sufficient to be a good parent. Being able to provide materially for a child is necessary but not alone sufficient to be a good parent. Choosing to embrace a homosexual identity, choosing a person of the same sex as an erotic/romantic partner makes one a poor parent notwithstanding any admirable qualities.

If all that were necessary and sufficient to make a good parent were the ability to love and provide materially for a child, then society should affirm sibling unions. And to be logically and morally consistent, anyone who celebrates the purchase of two babies by not-in-reality-married Dave Rubin should celebrate the purchase of babies by close-kin lovers.

Those who claim to be Republican or conservative and either celebrate Dave Rubin’s baby acquisitions or refuse to criticize his actions are harming the GOP, the conservative movement, the church, children, and America.

Cultural commentator Allie Beth Stuckey once said, “if conservatives aren’t willing to conserve the most fundamental fact of life—the reality of male and female—then we’re not conserving anything.” The same goes for the most fundamental natural institution: the nuclear family, central to which is a mother and father.

If conservatives don’t stand boldly and perseveringly for true marriage and the rights of children, choosing instead cowardly or foolish genuflection to Log Cabin Republicans and Republicans obsessed with fiscal matters, the GOP will become unworthy of support.

Illinois is a wonderful state. What with our potholes, potheads, public schools and politicians, it is a true headscratcher that the California U-Hauls aren’t coming here rather than Texas. Especially since our lawmakers arguably care much more about children’s preferred identity than any other state in the nation.

State Senator Don Harmon (D-Oak Park) recently put his–er, I mean their, name on a perceptive piece of legislation that will benefit Illinois inhabitants for years to come: HB 4626.

Why is a state senator sponsoring an Illinois House bill? I’d be delighted to enlighten you; Harmon’s homies in the House already heroically hurdled HB 4626 through their own chambers before he could move his version through the Illinois Senate. We applaud the zeal of those raring representatives, they proved that they are the woker lawmakers.

This bill would remove gender pronouns and other biology-revealing words in several dozen laws in Illinois, all pertaining to the impressionable minors of our state and the gender they were born with–er, assigned to.

We cannot emphasize enough how enlightened and empathic Senator Harmon is in promoting the eradication of precise diction in our state laws. There are so many children who are not being represented in Illinois because of the exclusive “she/her, “he/him” wording of our texts. You know, those brave souls who go by other pronouns. Who knows how many sleepless nights have been spent worrying about the injustice of clauses that exclusionary pronouns have caused? Times have changed, and patriarchal terms such as “his” should without question be replaced with “their.” Senator Harmon realizes that referring to individuals by restrictive “he/she” language is damaging and offensive and must be put to an end immediately.

This is a vital step for the wellbeing of our state, as our dear Capitol cronies are clearly conscious of; HB 4626 is currently in the committee hopper awaiting a hearing, and many young children who have been harmed by the presence of patriarch-backed pronouns are petitioning the members to hurry up and approve it–before children realize the state has been neglecting those genders other than male and female.

Certain backwoods, homophobic citizens are showing their hatred under the guise of exasperation, claiming that the legislature could be addressing topics of actual importance instead of playing “word games” as they so flippantly put it. Absinthial Amethyst (tey/ter), a nonbinary, pansexual/asexual minor, addresses such concerns bravely and beautifully:

“This is the most pressing issue Illinois is faced with today. Forget about the fact that my generation can’t math or read to save our lives and stop complaining about your stupid taxes! 20 years in the future, what will matter more; that you have no money in your bank account or that our laws are inclusive and safe to read for nonbinary individuals like myself?”

Christians especially are showing their blatant hypocrisy regarding this inclusive legislation, opposing the small changes of the bill based on their “faith.” Deborah Indomitable (a Bible-thumping extremist) declares:

“Changing out he’s and hers with theys and thems does seem, at the outset, to be a trivial matter. But it’s not. See, Christians have been saved by The Word, by The One who invented words—He spoke and here we are, living words from His mouth. We’re the ones who should care most about words and how they are thrown about. HB 4626 with its subtle erasing of pronouns is a lie, because God spoke only two sexes into existence, not 5 or 85 or however many you all think exist, and we love like Christ by pointing that out.”

As you can clearly deduct, Deborah is making excuses for being a bigot by hiding behind what the Bible says. But we all know that if you are a real Christian, you’d be loving like Christ by using the pronouns people prefer, and that would be inclusive of all. HB 4626 will finally fix that for our youth, showing delinquents like Deborah and migrants to Texas that Illinois puts tolerance before truth, and always will.

You may also want to point out that the people of Illinois do not want lawmakers to re-write the English language to accommodate the demands of a group of left-wing radicals. Illinois Lawmakers Seek to Erase Women

HB 4626 is both a harebrained and destructive bill that seeks to further the agenda of the “trans” cult by erasing language references to biological sex. It’s most particularly dangerous and insulting to women. If passed, this bill will change references to a pregnant “woman” to a “pregnant person.” Sane, rational women and men may be asking, “Why?” The answer is that our leftist leaders are pandering to the “trans” cult by erasing all public recognition of sex differences. This legislation is yet one more incremental step toward that culturally destructive goal. Unfortunately, conservatives excel at ignoring incremental steps toward culturally destructive goals. Ignoring them is so much easier than opposing them.

Ironically this anti-woman bill is sponsored by a woman, State Representative Lakesia Collins (D- Chicago), who, equally ironically, self-identifies on her bio page as a “mother.” She probably meant to say, “person who raises children.” It’s hard to keep track of all the new language rules leftists impose in an Orwellian effort to control what people think.

Two of the three other co-sponsors of the anti-woman bill are women too. Lesbian Kelly Cassidy (D-Chicago)—sponsor of all garbage bills in Illinois—and State Representative Anna Stava-Murray (D-Naperville).

Anyone who refuses to publicly acknowledge that women and women only can get pregnant and give birth does not deserve to hold office.

This bill will also expunge every occurrence of the pronouns “he,” “she,” “his,” and “her” from existing laws pertaining to children as well as the words “uncle, aunt, nephew, niece, great-uncle, great-aunt, step mother, step father, step sister, [and] step brother.”

If passed, expect to see more of this kind of propagandistic rhetoric:

• Harvard Med and Continuing Education tweeted, “ethnic minority pregnant and birthing people suffer worse outcomes and experiences during and after pregnancy and childbirth.”

• In June 2022, the Biden administration released its fiscal year budget in which the word “mothers” was stricken and replaced with “birthing persons”: “To help end this high rate of maternal mortality and race-based disparities in outcomes among birthing people …” Apparently, the censors didn’t notice the term “maternal,” which too is on the chopping block among “trans”-cultists and their censorious collaborators.

• An article on the CDC’s website reads, “Although the overall risks are low, people who are pregnant or recently pregnant are at an increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19 when compared to people who are not pregnant.”

• Under Speaker of the U.S. House Nancy Pelosi’s oppressive reign, the terms “father, mother, son, daughter, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, nephew, niece, husband, wife, father-in-law, mother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, stepfather, stepmother, stepson, stepdaughter, stepbrother, stepsister, half brother, half sister, grandson, or granddaughter” are stricken from the text of U.S. House Rules. So too are the words “himself” and “herself,” which are replaced with the ungrammatical “themself.”

And if this anti-woman, anti-science, politically driven sop by legislative toadies to the “trans” cult passes, expect to see more tyrannical diktats from leftists, including politicians. Expect to see mandates issued in Illinois’ General Assembly, Congress, and government schools requiring the use of “desexed and inclusive” language. Expect to see minor children required to use incorrect pronouns when referring to their opposite-sex identifying peers and teachers. Refusal to comply will result in discipline.

The goal of the “trans” cult is not and never has been to respect diversity. The goal has always been to coerce capitulation to the “trans”-cultic desire to eradicate all public recognition of sex differences. Their goal is to erase biological sex as a meaningful and culturally affirmed anthropological phenomenon. If that entails forcing Christians to participate in a lie, so be it.

Don’t let them do it.

Alex Marlow, News Editor-in-Chief at the rightwing website Breitbart.com, recently made the claim that “TikTok is Chinese mind control,” pointing to how it has captivated the “increasingly A.D.D. American mind” with its constant scrolling. Is there any truth to this claim? And is TikTok more dangerous than we realize, not just because of the mindless distraction it provides but because of its content?

Ironically, although TikTok was developed by a Chinese company and is owned by a Chinese company, it is banned in China, along with a number of other, major social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. How interesting! So, the app is good for kids in America and the world but not good for kids in China?

Still, to say that “TikTok is Chinese mind control,” as if the Chinese developers intentionally built an app that could help destroy the Western mind, could be quite a stretch.

Yet that doesn’t mean that there is not real danger with TikTok, and not simply because it exacerbates our problem with distraction. Rather, there is real danger because of some of its destructive content, appealing especially to children and young people.

To give a shocking case in point, according to a recent video by Matt Walsh, “TikTok Is Making Mental Illness Trendy.”

He noted how destructive ideas and behavior and concepts “can go from fringe to trendy to mainstream quite literally overnight.” He added, “What was unusual one moment might be ubiquitous the next, and people, especially young people, can get caught in the current and drowned before they even notice that their shoes are wet.”

He pointed to the latest TikTok fascination with what is called Multiple Personality Disorder (MPD), as a result of which large numbers of young people are wrongly diagnosing themselves with this unusual condition.

Walsh played a clip from Good Morning America, where this phenomenon was discussed with real concern, as the host noted that videos with hashtags like #Dissassociativeidentitydisorder and #Borderlinepersonalitydisorder have been viewed hundreds of millions of times. This really has become epidemic.

Walsh then explained that the young person who self-diagnoses with MPD refers to himself or herself as “the system,” with each personality within “the system” being called an “alter.” And what effect does this have on young people?

It was a concerned mother who sent me the Walsh video, wanting to tell me about the latest developments with her 18-year-old daughter, who now identifies as a male. (We’ll call the daughter Rachel to hide her identity.) She wrote,

“Do you know anything about this??? I’m literally livid. This is how it started with us. Rachel went on some social media site, convinced herself she was a system with lots of personalities, like 100. And did this exact same thing!! When I spoke to the psychiatrists about this, they had no clue what I was talking about. No one has been helpful with this. Why is no one talking about this?!?! I’m so angry right now. Part of what the issue is with Rachel, she thinks she has several alters with all different genders. Why would any doctor give her testosterone acting like this???”

So, trained psychiatrists have not heard about this destructive TikTok trend, but millions of impressionable young people are intimately familiar with it. And, here in America, where the daughter now resides, a licensed doctor was willing to give this teenager a testosterone shot to help her “transition” to male, even though her mental instability should have been visible at once.

The mother continued, “She is so wrapped up and so deep in lies. I don’t know how to bring her to truth. . . . Her roommate, also a ‘system’ won’t allow me to talk to my child. She is the gate keeper to any communication. How can a trained therapist even accept this nonsense???”

Nonsense indeed. And some of you can identify with this mother’s pain and anger and frustration.

It’s really as if a foreign entity has invaded the hearts and minds of our kids, what Jordan Peterson recently referred to as a “sociological contagion.”

Peterson also opined that opening the boundaries of “sex categories” would “fatally confuse thousands of young girls,” a claim that the New York Post found to be “unsubstantiated.” Really? Unsubstantiated?

Perhaps this Newsweek headline from October 2021 provides some of the necessary substantiation for Peterson’s claim: “Nearly 40 Percent of U.S. Gen Zs, 30 Percent of Young Christians Identify as LGBTQ, Poll Shows.”

This spike of more than 4,000 percent, from roughly 3 percent of the population to the current 40 percent, did not happen in a vacuum. Instead, this is what takes place when a society loses its boundaries, casts off traditional biblical values, and inundates its young people with a constant flood of pro-LGBTQ messages and propaganda. The latest TikTok trends provide yet another avenue for such mass deception, as kids are self-diagnosing themselves with all kinds of alleged mental disorders.

Who’d a thunk there was any connection between Joe Biden’s uber-creepy new nuclear waste disposal expert Sam Brinton and Illinois State Representative Sam Yingling (D-Round Lake Beach) other than their first names? As it happens, there is. But first some background on the creepy Sam Brinton who was recently appointed “deputy assistant secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition in the Office of Nuclear Energy for the U.S. Department of Energy” by the transphiliac Biden administration that hasn’t yet met a sexual perversion it didn’t love.

Brinton is a 34-year-old “gender non-binary” person who demonstrates his non-binariness by combining men’s and women’s clothing—thereby reflecting the binariness of his non-binary identity.

Brinton first identified as “gay,” but now his immutable “sexual orientation” has changed, and he—er, I mean “they”—identify as bisexual. He’s also into kink as he shared at a sex talk he gave at Rensellaer Polytechnic Institute in 2017:

[Brinton] left us with countless anecdotes, like how he enjoys tying up his significant other like a table, and eating his dinner on him while he watches Star Trek. Upon being asked about how long he knew he was into kink, he explained that it wasn’t necessarily from birth, but that his kinks manifested in nonsexual ways. Once he started having sex, he got bored with the idea that he couldn’t control the whole experience, which led him to the idea of domination. He also expanded on his experiences with pup play, the differences between kinks and fetishes, and how to safely choke one’s partner.

We then moved onto demonstrations. Brinton taught us about bondage, starting with wrist restraints and ending with harnesses. … He also passed out ropes to the audience and encouraged us to practice on each other.

When the demonstrations ended, he invited us to come play with his toys or talk to him more. The entire audience went up to the stage, and Brinton graciously explained the purpose and proper usage of each toy. He even demonstrated the use of a carbon fiber rod on those who were interested, and the marks he left on my arm lasted for a few days. He told us more stories, some about working in Washington, D.C., the few times he helped Michelle Obama pick out shoes, his efforts to end conversion therapy, and his experiences as a dominatrix.

While Brinton “completed a dual Master of Science degree program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in nuclear engineering and the technology and policy program,” he is better known—or, rather, infamous for—his nationwide crusade to make what he deceitfully calls “conversion therapy” illegal. So fanatically committed is Brinton to this crusade that he sashays in stilettos all about the country lying about it.

Brinton has claimed that he was a victim of torture via “conversion therapy”—the term those tricksy homosexual activists prefer—but his allegations suffer from shape-shifting and lack of proof.

For example, in 2010 Brinton alleged that just before seventh grade, he was sent to “conversion therapy” where his hands were tied down and “blocks of ice were placed” on his hands while pictures of men holding hands “were shown” to him.

By 2014 when he testified before the U.N.’s Committee on Torture, his story (and delivery) had changed. He still claimed that his hands were tied down and blocks of ice were placed on them, but he wasn’t shown pictures of men holding hands. Oh, no, in this incarnation of his story he was shown “erotic pictures of men.” Additionally, he claimed the torturous therapy occurred when he was ten years old.

When he testified before the U.N. committee at age 26, he was choking back faux-tears even though he’d been telling this story publicly for years. But four years earlier when he was 22, no tears, not a voice quiver to be heard.

Depending on the context, Brinton has alleged that he was either 10 or 12, when he was tortured by “a doctor,” or “not a doctor,” or a “religious therapist,” or a “licensed psychotherapist.” And at various points, he has claimed he was in this torturous therapy for “two to three years,” and yet he says he cannot recall the name of this therapist.

In addition to painful ice treatment, Brinton claims copper heating coils were wrapped around his hands and the heat turned on, “tiny needles” were “stuck into” his fingers, and that he received “electric shocks” by the nameless therapist. Even homosexuals doubt his story.

Btw, this kind of therapy is accurately called “aversion therapy”—not conversion therapy. And no licensed therapists do it on anyone, let alone children.

Talk therapy that seeks to uncover reasons for disordered feelings and dysfunctional behaviors is called counseling.

Brinton also claims that prior to torture therapy, he was taken to the emergency room seven times from beatings by his father that—Brinton claims—his parents said were from accidental falls. If that happened, surely there would be records of his emergency room visits.

Brinton squealed his delight about this appointment:

I’ll even be (to my knowledge) the first gender fluid person in federal government leadership. … You cannot fathom how excited I am. … so so so excited.

While the crossdressing, glittery, ruby stiletto-wearing Brinton squeals about his new appointment, the oppressive regime in China can see our soft bellies exposed for the death stroke.

What Brinton will do with our nuclear waste is far less important than what he’s doing and has done to our broken children living and moving and having their being in a sea of corruption and confusion.

Kinda makes sense that our prevaricating president would appoint a prevaricator to a high-level government post. #BirdsOfAFeather

And this brings us to Sam Yingling’s connection to Sam Brinton. Yingling is a leftwing religious bigot who calls theologically orthodox Catholic, Protestant, and Eastern Orthodox beliefs about homosexuality “bigotry.” He’s also a staunch advocate for the non-existent moral and constitutional “right” of mothers to have their offspring killed.

And now Yingling seeks to further the anti-autonomy/anti-choice efforts of hoaxster Sam Brinton by proposing a bill (HB 5162) that would prevent any state money from going to organizations that help people sort out the possible reasons for their homoerotic attractions and gender confusion.

If passed, Yingling’s bill, which just yesterday passed out of committee by a vote of 5 to 3, will do the following:

Provides that the State shall not expend or invest any public funds in any organization, nonprofit organization, religious organization, or any other entity that performs conversion therapy. Provides that any public funds owed by the State to an organization performing conversion therapy shall be withheld from such organization, and any contract between the State and that organization shall be void.

The bill doesn’t define “conversion therapy,” but presumably, Yingling will define it in such a way that prevents state money from going to any entity that may help clients construct a sexual or gender identity consistent with their conservative beliefs and values. Only counseling that helps clients construct an identity consistent with leftist beliefs and values about homosexuality and cross-sex impersonation will receive state funds.

In other words, state funds will be used only to affirm leftist assumptions. So much for self-determination and choice.

And to heck with children, teens, and adults whose same-sex attraction or gender dysphoria are symptoms of molestation and trauma or result from peer or social media influence.

Professionals will remain able to access state funds to help gender dysphoric persons reject their unwanted bodies but will not be able to access state funds to help gender dysphoric persons reject their unwanted feelings—not even if that’s the path the client seeks to pursue.

Yep, just six degrees of separation between creepy hoaxster Sam Brinton, expert in waste, and Sam Yingling, supporter of human slaughter and post-birth harm to children.

Illinoisans who are struggling to make ends meet as the Democrat-ruled state teeters on the knife edge of insolvency and whose children are suffering grievously from social isolation and missed milestones that can never be recovered have been waiting for the General Assembly to take action. Illinois families of diverse colors, especially those who lack the financial resources to weather a pandemic, a grossly inept response to a pandemic, government corruption, and decades of egregiously irresponsible economic policies have little choice but to wait for tyrannical, inept, irresponsible and corrupt leaders to help them.

As dispirited Illinoisans waited with labored breath for help, Illinois Senator Julie Morrison (D-Lake Forest) came to the rescue, introducing a bill on January 21, 2022 that if passed will amend a gazillion “Acts concerning children.”

With hopes raised a smidge, Illinoisans wondered how Morrison would help their children.

Maybe Morrison is addressing the urgent need to get children back in school—unmasked.

Maybe she’s calling for school choice, so impoverished families will have the freedom to choose how their children are educated.

Maybe she’s addressing the bloated pensions of teachers that bleed Illinoisans dry.

Maybe she is taking on public schools like those in Deerfield whose “educators” teach obscene material to other people’s children.

Maybe she’s addressing the scourge of children in the womb being slaughtered or taxpayer-funding of human slaughter.

Maybe she’s addressing the plague of fatherlessness that harms boys, resulting in criminal activity and urban decay.

Maybe she’s got a plan to weaken the power of teachers’ unions that care more about preventing teachers from teaching and about setting social policy unrelated to education than they do about children.

Maybe, Morrison will try to get “comprehensive” sex ed and “lgb” and “t” advocacy out of our publicly subsidized kindergartens.

Oh no, Morrison’s proposed bill “concerning children,” SB 3961, (and HB 4626 in the Illinois House) addresses far more urgent issues.  Morrison along with chief co-sponsor Melinda Bush (D-Grayslake) who jumped aboard on Monday, and co-sponsors Laura Fine (D-Glenview) and Cristina Castro (D-Elgin) have introduced a bill that will expunge every occurrence of the pronouns “he,” “she,” “his,” and “her” from existing laws pertaining to children. These women (can’t be too sure these days) also seek to bowdlerize laws that mention “uncle, aunt, nephew, niece, great-uncle, great-aunt, step mother, step father, step sister, step brother.”

In a giant leap for personkind, Morrison proposes changing references to a “mother” or a “mother who gives birth” to a “person who gives birth.”

Ahhhh, finally, a real proposal to help suffering Illinoisans, many of whom are making plans to hightail it out of the state. Illinois will once again be a grand and glorious place to raise children when all biologically based pronouns and terms are expunged from law and, it is hoped, from our collective memory. When the heartland never again permits public recognition of the bi-biodiversity (i.e., the sexual dimorphism) of the human species, Illinoisans can stop worrying and be happy. And Morrison and her collaborators can pat themselves vigorously on the back for a dirty job well done.

Many cultural critics argued that widespread approval of homoerotic acts and the legal revision of marriage to include non-marital relationships would inevitably lead to the erasure of other cultural taboos, specifically, taboos against plural relationships, consensual adult incest, and adult-minor sex, including pedophilia. Those critics who so warned were mocked by the scoffers who came following their own evil desires. “What rubes, paranoiacs, and bad thinkers,” screeched the scoffers. “Those are fearmongering, fallacious slippery slope, stupid arguments,” pontificated those with evil desires and strategies to match. But, once again, conservative critics were right.

The pro-poly movement is growing. News about “consensual non-monogamy” is everywhere including on mainstream news outlets. The American Psychological Association even has a task force composed of perverts to normalize this form of sexual deviance. Throuples and other sexually and numerically diverse unions are emerging from the dark fringes into the klieg lights that now highlight perversion.

Still in the dark fringy margins are the other two groups who, like polyamorists, have their own spanking new euphemistic names. Those who are in sexual relationships with close relatives have renamed incest “consanguinamory.” Following the logic of the “love is love” crowd, the blog “Full Marriage Equality” is dedicated to

“Advocating for the right of consenting adults to share and enjoy love, sex, residence, and marriage without limits on the gender, number, or relation of partners.”

Another blog that promotes incest is “Consanguinamory” whose creator, “Jane Doe,” describes her experience with and support for incest:

I am a woman in my early 30s, I used to be in a relationship with my dad on and off for a few years from when I was almost 20 up until I was in my late 20s. It wasn’t [Genetic Sexual Attraction], just straightforward incest, and it was the most deep, beautiful and loving relationship I’ve ever had. …

I clearly remember the confusion I felt when I first began to see him that way, I knew that society said that incest is bad, sick, disgusting and profoundly wrong, and yet the idea didn’t feel even remotely like that to me, it felt so right. Truth is, I fell in love with him and I chose to go with my heart and not my head. … I knew it wasn’t a crush or a phase, I’d had these feelings for a little while, but long enough to know the difference. I knew that what we had together was something real, and something very special. We were able to talk to each other for hours and never run out of things to say, and at other times just a glance could say a million words. We just understood each other so well, in a way it probably would have been more weird NOT to pursue the relationship, because it was the natural extension of our very strong family bond. …

A few years ago my dad broke off the relationship with me, he was afraid of us getting caught out, and he also still felt that it was somehow wrong for us to be together. Yet I loved him and he loved me, both in the romantic sense of the word and as family. I’ve tried non-incest relationships and they just don’t feel right to me, half the bond is missing… the family aspect of the bond. …

I still miss him so much and hope one day he has a change of heart, because even after so much time I am still in love with him. I miss everything from us going on the supermarket run to falling asleep in his arms at night. He just wasn’t able to get over the taboo against incest, so despite the obvious strength of our feelings he could not stay with me. I’ve tried so hard to just get on with my life, but it still hurts knowing that our relationship wasn’t just viable, it would have been thriving if that ridiculous taboo hadn’t been there in the first place. (emphasis added)

As I have written many times, getting the term “sexual orientation” added to anti-discrimination policies and laws was a stroke of genius by the libertines among us. Now all they need do is recast all the diverse manifestations of sexual perversion as sexual orientations, and, abracadabra, they become legally protected categories. And so, we see Jane Doe writing, “consanguinamory is an orientation, not a perversion.”

Six years ago, senior correspondent at The Week, libertarian Damon Linker, warned libertarians and leftists that leftist arguments used to defend “gay marriage” will be used to defend incest “rights”:

Once a person, couple, or group of people make a sexual-partnership claim based on autonomy and consent, there is increasingly no basis on which to legally reject it. And once it becomes legally accepted, there is increasingly no basis on which to morally reject it. Which means that, sooner or later, incest is likely to be legal and morally accepted in the United States.

It’s not just incest that is going to be legalized. Oh no, incest is not at the bottom of the well of moral sewage. Pedophilia is comin’ to town soon.

The first step in eradicating taboos is to whitewash the morally repugnant act, getting rid of its icky connotations. So, pedophilia has been renamed. First it was renamed “intergenerational love” or “intergenerational intimacy,” and now it’s been renamed again. Now it’s “Minor Attraction.”

The next step was to distinguish attraction to children from acts with children—an important distinction to be sure— but it’s temporary.

Recently, philosophy and ethics professor from the State University of New York at Fredonia and author of the book Pedophilia and Adult-Child Sex: A Philosophical Analysis, Stephen Kershnar, got in hot water for arguing that he finds no justification for a “threshold” age of child below which sexual engagement with adults would be wrong. For example, Kershnar argues that society’s belief that there is something “deeply wrong” about an adult man having sex with a consenting 12-year-old girl is both “wrong” and a “mistake.”

To be clear, Kershnar is not arguing that sex between an adult and preteen is “wrong” and a “mistake.” He’s arguing that societal disapproval of such a sexual encounter is both wrong and a mistake.

From his sullied Ivory Tower, Kershnar continues with his morally untethered philosophical ruminations:

Kershnar speculates that there are “evolutionary” advantages conferred on pedophilia, citing, among other things, studies showing that a “surprising number” of college age men show attraction to “prepubescent individuals, I assume, mostly girls.” What a cultural mess, Darwin created.

This is what happens when a society abandons God as the transcendent source of objective moral truth. Corrupt (and sometimes brilliant) minds devise intellectual rationalizations to justify virtually anything, buttressed by woefully unstable social “science” studies.

Just wait, the heartstrings-pulling anecdotes, young adult novels, graphic memoirs, and picture books about unjustly stigmatized love are comin’ down main street soon.

One of my colleagues has been combating LGBTQ extremism for several decades, working tirelessly for almost no money, and with constant vilification as his main reward. I asked him one day on the air, “Why don’t you just stop?” He answered, “I’ll stop when they stop.”

That is exactly how I feel.

When I no longer have to read headlines like this, I’ll stop: “‘We’re uncomfortable in our own locker room.’ Lia Thomas’ UPenn [female] teammate tells how the trans swimmer doesn’t always cover up her male genitals when changing and their concerns go ignored by their coach.”

Seriously? His male genitals? What kind of madness is this?

And the fact that a biological male with male plumbing (who, by the way, is attracted to females), shares a locker room with women – where they disrobe and shower – is absolute insanity, not to mention terribly unfair. In fact, it is outright abusive.

As one of the female swimmers said (anonymously), “‘It’s definitely awkward because Lia still has male body parts and is still attracted to women.’

“The swimmer said that multiple teammates have raised their concerns with their coach, trying to get Thomas ousted from the female locker room,” but all to no avail.

How can anyone possibly defend this? And does anyone want their daughter exposed (literally) to something like this? This is madness.

As for Will “Lia” Thomas competing against other girls, even Bruce “Caitlyn” Jenner has weighed in, calling out the unfairness of it and saying, “We must protect women’s sports.”

So, as long as the madness continues, I’ll continue to shout out as well. How can I (or we) do anything less?

And what about headlines like this? How can we stay silent when this is happening on our watch?

“EXCLUSIVE: ‘They created a double life for my daughter’: Parents of girl, 12, who tried to hang herself twice at school after ‘months of secret meetings about her gender identity’ slam district staff who ‘went behind their backs’ and ‘likens it to sex offenders who take advantage of a child and try to keep things in secret’.”

What an outrage.

Yet similar things happen in schools across America every day, as the teachers and administrators and counselors encourage kids in their gender identity and same-sex attractions, to the complete exclusion of the parents.

In the words of the girl’s father, Wendell Perez, “We’re talking about the staff from school this information and developing a plan of several sessions with my daughter, for months, talking about issues that are related and that the parents need to be involved. They basically created a double life for my daughter.”

He added, “If we allow this to happen, we are admitting that the sex offenders – the models operating of the sex offenders – is correct, because that is actually what they do. They take advantage of a child, they try to keep things in secret and make them do things that they are not supposed to do.”

He was hardly exaggerating.

A mother and father in another country with a “progressive” school system were shocked when they met with their daughter’s teachers at school. She was a young teen.

In previous months, for the first time in her life and quite out of the blue, she had begun to identify as a male, wanting to go by a new name. But when the parents probed more deeply, they learned that the school had been encouraging her in this direction.

When they met with her teachers, they were shocked and outraged to learn that the school had planned to announce their daughter’s new male identity and name the very next day – without the parents having the slightest hint this was going on.

How can this be tolerated? And who on earth gave these teachers and administrators and counselors these kinds of rights?

As for those who struggle with gender identity confusion, I do not refer to their struggle as transanity, as I have stated many times. I have compassion for them in their struggles and cannot imagine the pain and agony they have lived with.

That’s also why I advocate strongly that we do our best to help them from the inside out, finding better solutions than puberty blockers for children and sex-change surgery and then more hormones for life for adults.

But as long as the casualties mount. As long as children’s lives are being destroyed. As long as girls are being exposed to male genitalia in their locker rooms (and sexually assaulted in their bathrooms). As long as female athletes are forced to compete with males.

Amid growing international pushback on the transgender movement’s so-called “gender affirmative” approach to gender dysphoria and the rush to give minors experimental treatments including puberty-blockers, cross-sex hormones, and irreversible surgeries, the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) has released new draft guidelines recommending a less radical approach than they have held to in the past.

Rather than immediately rushing adolescents into a lifetime of hormone “treatments” and surgeries, the draft guidelines recommend mental health evaluation and several years of monitoring for adolescents with gender dysphoria, although they continue to encourage harmful and irreversible procedures after that.

WPATH, an international organization headquartered in Minnesota, plays an extremely influential role in the use of so-called “treatments” such as cross-sex hormones and “gender transition” surgery. Throughout the rest of the draft guidelines, WPATH continues to recommend so-called “gender affirmative treatments” that have caused permanent harm to young people and adults, yet the proposed draft offers slightly more protection to adolescents struggling with gender dysphoria than recommendations from major medical associations in the U.S. WPATH’s shift, slight though it is, also shows that on an international level, the transgender movement is recognizing that they may be held accountable for the damage they have caused.

WPATH’s draft guidelines added a chapter on adolescents requiring a full mental health evaluation and several years of monitoring before receiving cross-sex hormones or surgery. The guidelines continue to recommend irreversible surgeries for minors, including mastectomies for girls as young as 15 and “bottom surgery” for 17-year-old girls, although they do not recommend similar surgery for boys under 18. The guidelines also removed requirements that adults receive mental health evaluation, despite the fact that many adults who have detransitioned have spoken up about how the mental health struggles that were driving their gender dysphoria were not adequately addressed when they sought help.

At the same time, if WPATH adopts these guidelines, multiple major medical associations in the U.S., including the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Psychological Association, and the Endocrine Society will be out of step with international standards, advocating an even more radical approach than WPATH. These associations encourage a so-called “gender affirmative” approach known as the “Dutch protocol,” originated by a doctor in the Netherlands who has since cautioned against his own approach. This protocol encourages medically “transitioning” children, disregarding the fact that puberty-blockers and cross-sex hormones can lead to dangerous complications including stunted bone growth, pulmonary embolisms, increased risk of heart attacks, and permanent loss of fertility.

Attempting to live in denial of biological reality is always harmful. No amount of surgery or cross-sex hormones can ever change the fact that a man is a man, and a woman is a woman, down to every single cell. People struggling with gender dysphoria deserve compassion, and true compassion never reinforces lies.

The New York Times’ coverage of WPATH’s new guidelines claims that “transition” improves mental health outcomes. However, the best studies show that this is not the case, and the studies that have been used to prop up this narrative are riddled with methodological flaws. One study claiming to show that “transition” improved mental health actually showed the opposite, a fact that the authors of the study eventually acknowledged.

Sadly, the LGBT lobby is actively working to penalize counselors and mental health professionals who would offer compassionate support to minors struggling with gender dysphoria. 20 states have implemented so-called “conversion therapy” bans and, and the five largest cities here in Minnesota have adopted them. These counseling bans interfere with the client-patient relationship and deny help to kids who are struggling with gender dysphoria, insisting that the only option that should be available to them is to be rushed to “transition,” even as a growing number of young people and adults who have detransitioned speaking out about how they have been harmed by transgender ideology.

Children and teens with gender dysphoria deserve better than to be treated as guinea pigs for the sake of advancing radical gender ideology. WPATH’s guidelines, while they offer slightly more protection than they have in the past, are dangerous and recommendations from the AAP, APA, and ES are even more so.

Leftists seek to destroy every created thing that emerges from, depends on, or reflects the real and foundational distinctions between males and females. Eradicating all distinctions between males and females entails socially constructing a false understanding of marriage. It entails distorting the public understanding of the purposes for and boundaries of sex and reproduction. It entails transforming the public understanding of the needs and rights of children. And it entails a wholesale assault on all sex-associated phenomena, including clothing, hairstyles, grammar, private space usage (e.g., bathrooms, locker rooms, dorm rooms, nursing home rooms, and prison cells), sports, and even human bodies.

What accounts for the zealous, quixotic mission to eradicate all distinctions between male and female—a mission that began in earnest in the 1960’s? Ultimately, this is a rebellion against God who created us male and female, who identifies himself as Father—not mother—and whose incarnate child was a son—not a daughter. The scope and enormity of this cultural and spiritual revolution could only be inspired by the father of lies, aided and abetted, of course, by fallen humans.

Indulgent self-regard has supplanted unselfish concern for the common good. Appetitive pleasure has been recast as “authenticity,” thereby granting hedonism a patina of nobility. While leftists claim it takes a village to raise a child, they live in a solipsistic world in which nothing outside the self matters—well, unless the “self” is conservative in orientation. Then, no degree of “authenticity” matters.

The tragic consequences of this rebellion against God are evident all around us in the form of broken, dysfunctional families; high rates of premarital sex; kink; porn use; STI’s; promiscuity; abortion until birth; child abuse; social acceptance of homosexuality; explosive growth of cross-sex impersonation; drag queen story hours; and the promotion of sexual deviance in public schools. And yet, increasing numbers of Republicans, the party that has historically stood for policies consonant with truth about sexuality, are abandoning such commitments.

How many Republicans now affirm the legal recognition of non-marital unions as “marriages”? How many Republicans now say that motherless and fatherless children should be placed with homosexual couples to be raised without either mothers or fathers? How many cowardly and/or ignorant Republicans turn and run from these “social” issues, not realizing that everyone can see the neon yellow stripe covering their backs.

Word to those Republicans: the social issues are far more critical to the survival and health of America than are tax rates and business regulations. Only fools think otherwise.

As a party, however, Democrats are even further lost. Democrats gloat about being the saviors of women, all the while facilitating damage to and destruction of girls’ bodies and spirits. The blood of half a million baby girls killed in their mothers’ wombs every year drips from Democrats’ hands. Without the sexual revolution that taught girls that being as sexually “liberated” as males was something to embrace, there wouldn’t be a million abortions annually.

The blood from the severed breasts of teen girls and young women who have been deceived into thinking that they are men and that double mastectomies will resolve their gender dysphoria drips from the grimy fingers of Democrats. This “gender-affirming” practice matches or exceeds in barbarity “female genital mutilation,” a practice Democrats claim to abhor.

And with few exceptions, Democrats support the eradication of athletic opportunities for and achievements of girls and women by allowing biological men—also known as “men”—who pretend to be women to participate in girls’ and women’s athletics.

We recently saw a strapping Division I male swimmer who, after his junior year on the men’s team, decided he was a woman swimmer. He switched teams and destroyed multiple women’s records. He ruined the swim meet for both his female teammates and their opponents. Girls who likely started swimming at eight-years-old and endured daily four-hour workouts year-round from middle school on, have had their records demolished—by a man.

And his teammates are not free to express their authentic feelings about this travesty of inequity because the “trans” cult and its collaborators have created a culture in which only their speech is cost-free.

No, Democrats are neither feminists nor saviors of women. They’re callous, ignorant, fearful, selfish misogynists.

Someone should ask Illinois U.S. Senators Tammy Duckworth and Tricky Dick Durbin a few questions:

• What is a woman–specifically?

• Does a man cease to be a man if he wishes he were or thinks he is a woman?

• Why was Title IX created?

• Is it fair, just, or equitable for girls and women to have to compete against biological males in sports?

• Why should objective, immutable biological sex be subordinate to subjective, internal feelings about one’s maleness or femaleness in sports, which is centrally concerned with objective, immutable physical embodiment?

This insalubrious, anti-science, anti-God rebellion is not nearly over. The assault on truth will come to the church because the Bible is the source of all truth. Speaking, writing, or preaching the truth on God’s created order vis a vis biological sex and sex-based roles, and his prescriptions and proscriptions for sexual acts will be redefined as “hate speech.” Leftists will then attempt to ban such “hate speech,” or what Christians call expositions of truth. Being a Christian will be far costlier tomorrow if we are cowardly today.
