State Rep. Kelly Cassidy’s Irrational Accusation

On the morning of the final day of the regular session (May 31, 2025), State Representative Kelly Cassidy (D-Chicago) used a point of personal privilege to once again dogmatically express her views on gender-confused children, dismissing the legitimate concerns raised by conservative lawmakers and activists about medical interventions. She even accused gender realists of having blood on our hands.

State Representative Bill Hauter (R-Morton) responded to the attack, objecting to Cassidy’s characterization and urged for a more civil tone.
