“Thank God for School” Says U.S. Representative Burgess Owens

U.S. Representative Burgess Owens (R-UT) confronted public school leaders during a congressional hearing over parental rights, controversial classroom lessons, and failing academic outcomes.

Owens questioned why fifth graders are being taught about puberty blockers while many students struggle with basic reading and math proficiency. He also defended school choice, arguing that parents — not bureaucrats — should decide what is best for their children.

“This is why we need choice,” Owens declared.
