The good news is that we are less than one month away from Dr. Benjamin Carson being in the Chicago area for our annual Family, Faith & Freedom Fall Banquet on October 4th. The bad news for those who were still planning on purchasing tickets is that we are completely sold out for more than a week now. We‘re excited to say that it’s shaping up to be one of the biggest gatherings we’ve ever had!
The Illinois Family Institute team is so grateful for the outpouring of support for this fundraising banquet and for strengthening families across the state. We are confident that this will be a wonderful evening.
There is still time to place an ad in our program book. It’s a fantastic opportunity for you, your business or ministry to get your message to over 1,100 pro-family supporters. For more information, please click HERE or call us at (708) 781-9328.
“From all I observed around me growing up and all I read, I quickly realized that, in spite of the circumstances affecting you, the person who had the most to do with what happened to you in life was you. If I wanted to escape poverty, I was going to have to work extremely hard, but this was within my grasp to accomplish. And in a place such as America, no one could stop me except myself.”
~Dr. Benjamin Carson (from his book, America the Beautiful)
Background
Dr. Carson is an award-winning pediatric neurosurgeon, New York Times best-selling author, and Presidential Medal of Honor recipient. His inspiring rise from an impoverished single-parent home in downtown Detroit to one of the leading pediatric surgeons and political voices in our nation inspired the 2009 movie Gifted Hands.
Dr. Carson grabbed national headlines after delivering the keynote speech at the National Prayer Breakfast in February of this year. Standing mere feet away from President Barack Obama, Dr. Carson spoke truth in the face of power when he discussed the importance of family, personal responsibility, and the dangers of political correctness.
Program advertisements for this great event are available until Sept. 16th.
