Join the IFI Team and many other great pro-life advocates at the annual SpeakOut Illinois Conference. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, May 15th, at the Drury Lane in Oak Brook Terrace, IL.
The theme this year: Faithful for Life
This year’s keynote speakers will be Damon and Melanie Owens. They are the founders of Joyful Ever After, a ministry to help couples flourish in holy marriages, build strong marriage communities, and enrich parish life with the soul of the family. They have been married 27 years and have eight children.
Damon served as the first executive director of the Theology of the Body Institute. He has published numerous articles, appears regularly on radio and TV programs and has hosted and produced three 13-part television series for EWTN.
Melanie earned her BA in sociology at the University of California at Santa Barbara and her MSW at the University of California at Berkeley. She homeschooled the couple’s eight children and, along with Damon, keeps a full international speaking schedule at conferences, universities and parishes on the good news of marriage, sexuality, adoption and theology of the body.
