The present-day statistics concerning biblical worldview are not encouraging:
- Just slightly more than a third (37%) of pastors possess a biblical worldview and the majority—62%—hold a hybrid worldview known as Syncretism.
- Only 6% of adults have a biblical worldview.
- Among Americans with children under 13 years of age, only 2% have a biblical worldview. Those professing Christ in this same demographic is only 6%.
- Among the Gen Z (those born between 1999 and 2015) there is only a 4% biblical worldview.
Psalms 11:3 says, “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” When we do not follow scripture, everything shakes as a result. In the midst of this spiritual darkness, ICHE is lighting a candle by launching a new offensive called, “Engaging the Culture” where we attempt to address the hot topic buttons that our children are facing or will be facing soon. We want to equip parents for the battle at hand so their children will not become a statistic. We are beginning this series by confronting the spiritual cancer of PORNOGRAPHY. Consider the following:
According to a 2007 study among 813 students from six U.S. schools:
- 66.5% of young men and 48.7% of young women said viewing pornographic materials is an acceptable way to express one’s sexuality.
- 21.3% of young men said they view pornographic material every day or almost every day.
- Only 13.9% of young men said they never view pornography.
- 31% of young women said they view pornographic material.
ICHE is partnering with Pure Life Ministries on March 4 at Fellowship Church in Carol Stream, IL, for a one-day conference to aid both Christian homeschooling parents to fight against the onslaught of pornography through instruction, freedom, and prevention.
A small investment of time, energy, and resources could save your children a lifetime of pain.
