I heard of a gentleman traveling to a third-world country where driving regulations were minimal and police virtually nonexistent. He noted that in terms of road etiquette it was a matter of “he who drives the biggest truck rules.” So it is where God has been rejected. Lawlessness ensues and the strong oppress the weak. It is no coincidence that in all countries of the 20th Century dominated by strident atheists, the citizens were brutally oppressed. However, removing accountability to God leads not only to lawlessness and tyranny, it also produces moral and spiritual blindness, foolish behavior, and hardened hearts.

Maybe you haven’t missed it yet, but you should have. I am referring to what we once referred to as America’s common culture, a generally accepted understanding of how things should be which was largely based upon, believe it or...

Any time we stand next to the casket of a loved one we may find ourselves asking why death exists in the first place. Even those of us who know that God is love and reigns supreme see death as a very dark experience. Could He not have devised an easier way for us to depart this life into eternity? Must there be such pain? I am quite sure that God, in His sovereignty, could have done things differently, but He chose not to. Officiating at the funeral of a good friend recently reminded me of the suffering surrounding death. But the passage to our eternal state is difficult for a reason and I would like to address some reasons for that suffering.

One can only consider it shocking that the first-time ever pre-release leaked opinions of the U.S. Supreme Court Justices was instantly overshadowed by hysterical hatred directed toward the Court, and a fevered, shrill demand to keep abortion legal for any reason throughout a woman’s pregnancy. Anyone with any regard for life, and especially the lives of helpless and innocent babies, can only be appalled by the calloused demands from the Left that the Nation MUST permit the destruction of these little ones with no questions and no limits. Their death-dealing fanaticism is breath-taking!

A harmonious and happy marriage requires many ingredients, not the least of which is the number of things which the husband and wife have in common. Wise couples understand that each of them will need to let some things go, and also learn to appreciate the things their spouse appreciates. They understand that change will be essential for harmony.

Most Americans, when correctly informed regarding abortion, oppose it. It has only been through deception that the abortion lobby has been able to keep abortion legal, but the tide is turning as technology has opened the womb before our eyes. However, the proponents of abortion miss no opportunity to increase the number of victims and thus we are today faced with the Illinois Democrat led House attempting to hound the unborn to death even into the private spaces of state colleges and universities. They are seeking to place abortifacients in a convient place o cthe campus, making these drugs of death nearly ubiquitous to young college women. The hatred of the Left for unborn children appears pathological.

What we are witnessing in Ukraine is not a tragedy, it is an atrocity. A tragedy is when an innocent person dies in an accident. What Vladimir Putin is inflicting on the people of Ukraine, and to some extent on his own military personnel and citizens, is an abomination, an unjustified violation of every standard of justice and goodness. It is an evil that Europe and the world have not witnessed since Adolph Hitler and Joseph Stalin.

One of the most astonishing and disturbing trends in evangelicalism over the last few years is the significant number of leaders and organizations that have succumbed to the pressure of the “Woke” mob to join them in their attacks upon...

We are all familiar with the expressions, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure,” or, “A stitch in time saves nine,” meaning it is wise to catch a problem early, while it is small and manageable, rather than to wait until it has grown and become a serious threat. We understand this with things like weeds in our garden or cancer. But somehow, we neglect it in the arena of politics.

This may be more than you want to know, but you were a zygote once, a single celled human being that over time developed into who you are today. This is simply an indisputable fact. From every perspective the process is nothing less than miraculous, and with all the potential for problems along the way it is amazing that any of us made it through the nine months in utero to birth! But here we are, a testimony to the brilliance of our Creator, and His faithfulness.

What is the joy of Christmas? I expect we are all familiar with the biblical account of the angel's announcement to the shepherds,
"Behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy. . . "
But have we forgotten what those tidings were?

America has been kind to evangelical Christians and Christianity over its two hundred and forty-five-year history. I believe that more missionaries have been sent around the globe from the United States than from any other country, as well as billions...

We have been extraordinarily blessed to live in America. Those who complain and seek to radically transform the country are sadly ignorant of how much better their lives are than most of those who live now or who have lived on earth. If you know history you understand how wonderful our lives have been in this great Land, and we Christians, recalling how our forbearers have been treated through the centuries, should have a great appreciation for the liberties we have enjoyed here.

Gratitude is a funny thing. It appears to have a life of its own. By that I mean that a grateful heart bears fruit of itself, often beyond what one’s circumstances might suggest. God has much to say about gratitude, “In everything,” He says, “give thanks!”

Dr. Jason Valentine of Mobile, Alabama has stated that he will, effective Oct. 1, no longer treat patients unvaccinated for COVID 19. The Web site, “THINK” attempts to examine the ethics of the good doctor and others who have made similar choices or have indicated they are weary of treating patients who have refused to get the vaccination.
