Residents from Menard County are invited to attend a discussion on recreational marijuana and the results of legalization in other states. Though it went into effect on January 1st, the 610 page law, signed by Governor Pritzker that applies to adults 21 and older, allows for towns and counties to opt out of retail marijuana sales.

There’s a good reason 2/3’s of Colorado towns have opted out.
