Parental Rights Amendment Forum
June 21, 2017 @ 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM

What is the Parental Rights Amendment and how will it protect your rights as a parent?

Is a Constitutional amendment really necessary? Are parental rights really being threatened?

Come and learn how the courts have gone from protecting parents’ rights as fundamental, to allowing the government to determine what is best for your child. Adding an amendment to the U.S. Constitution is meant to secure “the liberty of parents to direct the upbringing, education, and care of their children [as] a fundamental right.”

The speaker will be Heidi Holan, Illinois state coordinator for ParentalRights.org. Ms. Holan is a wife, mother, home educator, political junkie, and chocoholic. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Elmhurst College, Holan enjoyed a career in office management and computer technology. Since then, she has opted to stay at home full-time to raise and educate her children and assist her husband with a family-owned business. Holan volunteers at ParentalRights.org because she believes strong families build a solid foundation for a society.
